IFFI 52, 04: List of all 24 Indian Panorama films and 20 Documentaries announced
Semkhor, the first ever film to be made in the Dimasa language of North-East India, will be the inaugural feature film while Ved, the Visionary, directed by Rajiv Prakash, will be the inaugural documentary film.
The main objective of the Indian Panorama is to select films and documentaries produced by Indian producers, for which the criteria are excellence in film production, concept and other aesthetics. The best Indian films produced during the preceding year are shown under this section.
The jury members of the film selection committee include eminent film-makers and other dignitaries from the Indian film industry.
Feature films (story films)
24 films have been selected from 221 contemporary Indian films, which showcase the diverse colours and diversity of the Indian film industry.
The jury of the feature film category comprised 12 members, with S.V. Rajendra Singh ‘Babu' as the chairman. Here are their names:

From a look at the selection, it is seen that Marathi (5), Kannada (4) and Bengali (4) films dominate the list. Surprisingly, there are only two films in Hindi, which is the national language of the country, and in which language several hundred films are produced every year, most of them made in Mumbai, which is often referred to as Bollywood.
